In 2015, I took a warehouse job to pay the bills while I figured out my next move in real estate. Six months later I was a supervisor. A year after that, I couldn't imagine doing anything else.
What kept me wasn't the industry — it was the problem. Logistics is full of inefficiency, and most of the people running it either don't see it or don't care enough to fix it.
At a manufacturing company shipping 40 to 60 trucks a day, I noticed we were bleeding money on freight. I spent months researching, cut out the brokers, moved us to direct carrier relationships, and saved the company over $1 million in the first twelve months.
From there I moved into e-commerce — managing 4,000 to 30,000 shipments a day out of a 100,000 square foot facility during peak. Then into 3PL operations, where I helped grow a single-facility operation into six facilities across four states, totaling over a million square feet.
Every step of the way I kept seeing the same thing: businesses that didn't fully understand logistics getting taken advantage of — by brokers, by 3PLs, by their own billing. Overcharges nobody caught. Rates that hadn't been renegotiated since COVID. Warehouses running on spreadsheets when the software was already paid for and sitting unused.
That's why I started BRS Global. SMBs deserve access to the same networks, the same leverage, and the same operational knowledge that big shippers have. They just rarely get it.
